    AED stands for Automated External Defibrillator. It is a portable medical device that delivers an electrical shock to a person experiencing sudden cardiac arrest. 
The device can automatically analyze the heart's rhythm and determine if a shock is necessary to restore a normal heartbeat. This makes AEDs easy for bystanders with minimal training to use during a medical emergency. Two lifesaving AEDs donated to city by Pelican Mason Lodge
