William Kallhoff, 69, Gary, SD

William “Bill” Kallhoff, 69, of Gary, SD, passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at his home in Gary, SD.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 28, 2024, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Gary, SD. Burial will be in the Grandview Cemetery, Gary, SD.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Gary, SD, with a 7 p.m. prayer service. Visitation will resume one hour prior to the service at the church.

Houseman Funeral Home in Clear Lake, SD, is entrusted with the arrangements.

William “Bill” Kallhoff was born on July 2, 1954, to William and Mary (Krier) Kallhoff in Clear Lake, SD. He grew up in Gary, SD, and graduated from Gary High School in 1972. After high school, Bill worked for various farmers in the area. He then worked for the City of Gary for 20 years. Bill then worked for the Gary School District for 10 years until his retirement.

Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Gary, SD.

Bill is survived by his siblings: Mary Ann (Jim) Johnson of Pelican Rapids, MN, Robert (Deb) Kallhoff of Gary, SD, and Jean (Mike) Johnson of Gary, SD; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mary Kallhoff; and his sister, Carol Kallhoff.
