PELICAN PETE Pelican Pete can be found in E.L. Peterson Park in Pelican Rapids. Built in 1957, the statue was a community project led by the Pelican Rapids Chamber of Commerce with help from local craftsmen. Standing about 15 feet tall, Pete remains one of the best-known symbols of Pelican Rapids.
